What hybrid system does the GP1 Fit Hybrid use?
The GP1 uses Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system, which assists the gasoline engine with a thin electric motor mounted between the engine and the CVT.
Can the GP1 run solely on electric power (EV mode)?
While the engine can deactivate cylinders under low-load cruising to run briefly on electric power alone, the electric motor cannot propel the car from a complete stop independently.
