Common questions about the GE8

Did all GE8 models come with a 6-speed manual?
No. JDM GE8 models came with a 5-speed manual at launch. The 6-speed manual was introduced exclusively for the Fit RS trim with the October 2010 facelift. US-market GE8 models retained the 5-speed manual throughout their entire run.
Does the GE8 have disc brakes on all four corners?
In most markets, the sportier trim levels of the GE8 (such as the JDM Fit RS) featured 4-wheel disc brakes, while standard models and regional commuter specifications retained rear drum brakes.
